Physics (AP) (d)

This course offers stronger students an opportunity to study HP Physics, which are appropriate to the students abilities and interest, and then depending on the outcome of the student's efforts and examination results, receive Honor Placement designation, credit, or both on one's record. Some of the topics studied are measurement, force, motion, momentum, work, power, energy, heat, sound, kinetic theory, gas laws,light, electricity, and magnetism.

Student's laboratory experience and application of mathematics in problem solving are an integral part of this course.

Prerequisite: Second year of Algebra, including Trigonometry with a "B" grade or better.
