Physics (P) (d)
Physics is a natural science which deals with the behavior of the physical world around us. The objective of this course is to present physics with a directness and a simplicity that will enable the student to achieve maximum comprehension. Some of the topics studied are measurement, nature of forces, motion, work, power, energy, heat, sound, light, electrostatics, electricity, and magnetism. Student's laboratory experimentation is an integral part of problem solving in Physics and application of mathematics is stressed. Physics will meet the college requirement for Laboratory Science.
Prerequisite: Algebra I with a "C" grade or better; consent of the instructor.
