Physical Science (P)

This course is primarily designed for the freshman student with some science background who wishes to take college preparatory courses such as Cellular Biology, Anatomy/Physiology, Physics, and Chemistry later on. It offers the student a survey of the fundamental concepts of science. This course deals with techniques in science - measurement and basic tools for chemistry, physic and biological sciences to the point that would allow students to understand many other related topics such as technology and industrial processes, meteorology, earth science, astronomy, and others.

Student participation in classroom activities is an important part of the course. Films and other audio-visual aids including demonstrations and experiments are employed.

Prerequisite: Enrollment in 1st year Algebra or college prepatory mathematics.
